Bridges

YGC has successfully returned two-foot thick bridge approach slabs to their original position with this solution.

How It's Used

Both natural and man-made causes can lead to weak soils beneath bridge abutments and approach/departure ramps. From simple one-lane crossings to complex freeway overpass expansions, geotechnical polymer application addresses a range of issues in bridge construction and repair.

Bridge applications:

  • Mitigate cracks in concrete slabs

  • Bridge foundation repair and lifting

  • Settled bridge approach and departure ramps

  • Inadequate transitions between road and bridge

Bridges PROCESS

In the process of deep probe injection, structural polymer is injected into base and subgrade soils, increasing its load-bearing capacity. The injected compound expands to fill voids before hardening into a stable base. Interactions between the polymers and loose subsurface materials form an aggregate ground surface.

Advantages

  • Durable option for bridge repair

  • Fast curing time

  • Environmentally inert foam minimizes impacts

  • Long-lasting solution
